The Las Vegas Raiders have traded disgruntled wide receiver Davante Adams to the New York Jets. He goes to his preferred destination.

Adams will be reunited with his former quarterback Aaron Rodgers in this deal. They previously played together with the Green Bay Packers.

In exchange for this top-flight receiver, the Jets are paying a conditional third-round draft pick. It could turn into a second-round pick depending on certain circumstances.

Plus, the Jets are paying the rest of his deal. Adams signed a five-year, $140 million deal with the Raiders after they acquired him in a blockbuster deal with the Packers in 2022.

Adams will be paid $11.26 million this season. The Jets are responsible for just part of his contract.

Then, over the next two seasons, Adams will have massive salaries. He will make $35.64 million in the 2025 and 2026 seasons.

The Jets have struggled offensively despite having some good weapons. Mike Williams has not lived up to expectations.

He signed a one-year deal with the team following his departure from the Los Angeles Chargers.

In the early morning hours after the Jets suffered a 23-20 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football, Rodgers seemed to be frustrated with Williams. Rodgers said Williams ran the wrong route on the interception that sealed the game.

Williams has just 10 receptions for 145 yards this season. He has yet to break into the end zone.

The 2-4 Jets under interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich has had Wilson lead the team with 399 receiving yards. Allen Lazard is second with 354 yards.

Following Lazard, no other receiver has 200 receiving yards. Tyler Conklin has 191 receiving yards.

Adams, who had dealt with a hamstring injury before the trade, has appeared in three games this season. He has 18 receptions for 209 yards and one touchdown.
