The No. 6 seed Washington Commanders defeated the No. 1 seed Detroit Lions on Saturday night. The Commanders won 45-31 over the Lions at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan.

The Commanders remain alive in the playoffs. They will either play the Los Angeles Rams or the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Conference Championship game next weekend.

If the Eagles can beat the Rams, then it’ll be the third meeting of conference foes in the NFC Conference Championship game. The Eagles would also host the Conference Championship at Lincoln Financial Field if they beat the Rams.

If the Rams beat the Eagles, then the NFC Conference Championship game will either be paid in Inglewood, California. Or in Arizona due to the wildfires, like the Rams Wild Card round game against the Minnesota Vikings.

The Lions season is now over.

“You lose these games, man, it’s like the players, what they put into it,” Lions head coach Dan Campbell said after the game. “A lot of people don’t know.
You know what they go through.

“You have to get up. Bodies beat to sh*t and you know, mentally stay locked in and do those things. So long season. It’s my fault.”
