Former two-time UFC Heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez has been sentenced to five years in jail for a 2022 shooting. He previously pleaded no contest to the 2022 shooting that resulted in an attempted murder charge.

The Deputy District Attorney overseeing the case wanted the judge to sentence Velasquez to 30 years to life for the charge. However, his defense attorneys claimed he should get time served and probation.
