OKC Thunder dominate Timberwolves in WCF Game 1

The Oklahoma City Thunder captured Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. They defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 114-88 on Tuesday night from Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The Thunder take the early advantage in this potential 7-game series. The Timberwolves will look to rebound on Thursday night.

The home team outscored the Timberwolves 70-40 in the second half. The home team scored 32 points in the third quarter then added a game-high 38 points in the fourth quarter.

The Timberwolves scored 18 points in the third quarter. They had 22 points in the fourth quarter.

Minnesota led 48-44 at halftime. Minnesota scored 23 points in the first quarter. They then scored 25 points in the second quarter.

The Thunder scored 20 points in the first quarter. They had 24 points in the second quarter.

The Thunder shot 50% from the field. Yet, the Timberwolves shot just 34.9%.

Plus, the Thunder even shot better from three-point range, as they shot 52.4%. The Timberwolves shot just 29.4% from three-point range.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 31 points. He went 10 of 27 from the field. Gilgeous-Alexander also went 11 of 14 from the free throw line.

He also had five rebounds, nine assists, and three steals.

SGA — who is expected to win the NBA MVP Award soon — was one of four starters in double digits. Jalen Williams had 19 points. Chet Holmgren added 15 and Isaiah Hartenstein contributed 12.

The Thunder had 32 bench points. Alex Caruso led the reserves with nine points.

Julius Randle led the Timberwolves with 28 points. Randle was 9 of 13 from the field. Yet, he was 5 of 6 from the free throw line.

He also had eight rebounds, one assist, and one steal.

The veteran forward was just one of two Timberwolves, who scored in double figures from the starting lineup. Anthony Edwards added 18.

The Timberwolves had 26 bench points. Donte DiVincenzo led the bench with nine points.
