Freddy Hall signs with Toronto FC after a tryout

Freddy Hall is coming to North of the Border. Hall, a Bermudian goalkeeper, has signed with Toronto FC of Major League Soccer.

His contract terms are not immediately known. At the time of publication, it is not clear how long the contract is for.

He has been on a trial with Toronto over the past three weeks. Hall played in four games with Bermuda at the international level.

The 26-year-old has previously played for Northampton Town in England. He appeared in three matches, including two starts with the team.

He made 16 saves in the three matches. He had a 72.7% save percentage and .298 goals against 90 average.

Besides playing for Northampton Town, he also played for Bermuda Hogges in the USL Premier Development League.

“Freddy brings depth to our goalkeeping position and has many qualities that we like to see at this position,” said Toronto FC coach and director of soccer operations Paul Mariner. “He performed well during his trial period with our club. We are pleased to sign him.”
