Jaromír Jágr was recently signed by the Calgary Flames. The 45-year-old signed a one-year deal for what could be his final season in the NHL.

Now, the ‘Traveling Jagrs’ are looking to add an additional member. On Saturday during an intermission between the Flames and the Winnipeg Jets, the ‘Traveling Jagrs’ were surprised by the man himself.

Jágr did not play in the contest.

The anchor interviewed a guy named Trevor, as he said the group will be going to Florida, Nashville, Vegas, and Arizona. There were 14 different Jagrs, the host said, who were on the Flames TV clip.

Around the 1:46 second mark, Jágr, himself, appeared during the interview. He hand-delivered a Flames 68 jersey.

The ageless wonder signed a free agent contract with the Flames on Oct. 4. Jágr, who has said that he would like to play professional hockey through age 50, will likely be playing his last season this season, as there was little interest in teams signing him outside of the Flames.

While he’s the oldest player in the league, he’s expected to see some playing time despite the league featuring many stars half his age. This is Jágr’s first Canadian team – and he said, “I want to get the experience so I can one day say I played for a Canadian team, so I’m here.”

  1. So happy for Jagr. He is one of the best NHLers of all time.
