Russell out indefinitely after knee surgery

Brooklyn Nets point guard D’Angelo Russell is out indefinitely following arthroscopic knee surgery. This is the second Nets point guard to go down with an injury.

Jeremy Lin, who also plays point guard, went down with a season-ending injury earlier this season. There is no timetable for Russell’s return at this time.

The Nets will try to re-group, as they may attempt to make a trade for a point guard. Right now, they’ll likely have other players fill-in for the time being.

More to come.
