NASCAR suspends Mike Wallace allegedly for Facebook post

By Anthony Caruso III | Publisher

NASCAR driver Michael Wallace has been suspended indefinitely for potentially a comment or post on social media. NASCAR has not said what led to his suspension.

He must attend sensitivity training after NASCAR claims that he violated Sections 12.1; 12.8; 12.8.1.e of the rule book.

“We will not be going into further detail on the penalty at this time, pending a potential appeal,” NASCAR’s Senior Director, Racing Communications Mike Forde said. “However, the post you sent over does not violate our Member Conduct Guidelines.”

It’s not clear how long Wallace has to appeal the decision.

He made a comment on Thursday on Facebook that many thought was the violation. But NASCAR said it wasn’t.

“You know as I fly across the United States today I’m ready various people’s political views and I have to say a famous four star Military General that I spent time with in the MidEast (Middle East) told me Mike let me give you some advice don’t ever get in a conversation about politics or religion unless you are really smart,” Wallace said in a Facebook post. “I said why do you say that comment. His response it’s like being balanced on a single edge razor blade if you slip you will get cut!

“Think about that before we all make foolish uneducated post! Moral of this story is most of us just repeat what we have heard we really don’t know. Have a great positive day!”

In the rule book, it says that violation is “any public statement and/or communication that criticizes, ridicules, or otherwise disparages another person based upon that person’s race, color, creed, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, age, or handicapping condition.”

Besides the comment above, there is a gun photo that is circulating that may be legit. Wallace allegedly shared the gun photo on August 27th after Kristi-Marie Mankie posted it on August 20th.

The gun photo shows that police killing blacks at 1%. It also says that blacks killing blacks is at 97%.

The picture also says, “America does have a problem. But it’s not what the media tells you it is.”

Wallace returned to NASCAR this season after not competing in the sport since 2015. He made Xfinity Series starts for JD Motorsports at the Indianapolis road course on July 4th, Road America and in Daytona recently.

Wallace competed in the Cup Series from 1991 through 2015. He competed in the Xfinity Series from 1990 through 2015 and again this season.

He also competed in the Truck Series from 1995 through 2011.

  1. It’s 2020 and people still acting like this smh...

First of all, memes aren’t statistics… Secondly, 97% of all Blacks? I guess nobody knows how to do math, because there are about 42 million blacks in America and you’re telling me 97% of us are killing each other… OK. Also, this meme is quoting Wikipedia, which anybody can edit… I don’t know what’s in the KoolAid ur drinking, but it’s laced with lies.

It’s 2020 – So, first, let’s get over the date thing, it’s becoming as common and irrelevant as beginning statements with ‘so’ ;). Second, many memes require one to think. Let me explain. In 97% of gun deaths of blacks, they are committed by a black with gun. Whereas In 1% of gun deaths of blacks, they are committed by a cop with gun(this is a lot to type in a meme, wouldn’t you agree?). That is how you should have read the meme. It’s a clear example of how the education system failed you. You can’t read and comprehend and yet you make terrible decisions dashed upon this misinformation.

Wallace you should be glad you have the opportunity that you have had a lot of people would give their right arm, but had to get political. Black Lives Matter car, a garage door rope closely shaped, like a noose. People like you are the ones that divide this country on BS. Why don’t you go to Chicago, where black on black are killing one another and do something constructive? That is why I call big money, well known people, like you, users for attention and news worthy.

John, first of all you need to not make an “uneducated “ comment. The noose as you call it is in most garage door stalls at that race track. People have seen Bubba Wallace stir up stuff that has not been racial to the fans who have been a part of the sport before Bubba ( who is as much white as black) was born. I agree that there are injustices but that stuff goes both ways just like racism

OMG, this is crazy. Are we not to have any personality at all? (which Mike didn’t even say or do anything wrong)
i don’t think people are realizing they are taking away our own freedom of expression and the best part of this country, the 1st amendment. All by complaining and causing this cancel culture. Companies will stop hiring anyone promoting anything that is the slightest hint of daring or edgy. We all will become interesting as a piece of cardboard.

    Stop this Fake outrage –

This is where BLM has brought us: if you disagree with them, you’re a racist. They want to be heard, but no one else can have a say about anything.

And both of those memes are 100% true. Everyone should read Thomas Sowell’s book on slavery. And just to be clear, Thomas Sowell is black. Black people want it better? Quit playing the victim!

Silence is violence, words are violence and now the truth is violence; Mike’s only flaw here is being blessed with common sense…fwiw..

  7. Gabby Girl

He just needs to shut up and drive.. Umm, looks like “not happening..” words do hurt including at the purse strings. Wow! Learn to LOVE THOU NEIGHBOR.. did they not teach you that in church. If not, read the Bible.

This is clearly a ACLU case … the post was an intelligent post, minus the typos. There was absolutely NOTHING OFFENSIVE…has everyone lost their minds? We still live in the USA, I think.
