After much delay, Paul George finally made his debut with the Philadelphia 76ers. In the off-season, George signed a massive free-agent deal with the 76ers.

George scored 15 points in 31 minutes. He also had five rebounds, four assists, and one steal.

He was 4 of 14 from the field. He also went 1 of 7 from the three-point range.

Plus, George went 6 of 7 from the free-throw line.

The 15 points were the second-best among the starters against the Phoenix Suns. Tyrese Maxey led the team with 32 points.

In the preseason, George suffered a hyperextended leg that sidelined him for several weeks.

He was on a minutes restriction in the game, according to head coach Nick Nurse.

The 34-year-old has played in the league for 15 seasons. He spent seven seasons with the Indiana Pacers. George then spent five seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers.

He also spent two seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The 76ers hope that with George back — even on a limited basis — and Joel Embiid returning to the lineup soon that their marquee team could do damage in the Eastern Conference.
