MetLife Stadium

MetLife Stadium is a stadium that is located in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The stadium is a short distance away from New York City.

This facility was opened in 2010 after it replaced Giants Stadium. The venue is primarily used as the home of the New York Giants and New York Jets football teams.

It cost $1.6 billion to make. At the time, it was one of the most expensive stadiums built in the United States.

With the Giants and Jets calling the stadium home, it is one of two stadiums in the NFL in which two teams play there. The other stadium, which also holds this honor, is SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

The Los Angeles Chargers and the Los Angeles Rams both play at SoFi Stadium.

The Stadium is owned by the MetLife Stadium Company. It is a joint venture between the New York Giants Inc. and New York Jets LLC.

Officials broke ground on the site on September 5th, 2007. It opened to the public on April 10th, 2010.

Outside of the Jets and Giants using the venue, it has been called home to several other events, including Super Bowl XLVIII, WrestleMania twice, Monster Jam, Motocross, the New York Guardians, and more.
