The NFL was forced into a corner. Due to the greater Los Angeles wildfires, the league has moved the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams game.

The game will no longer be played at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Now, the game will be played on Monday night at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

“In the interest of public safety, Monday’s Vikings-Rams Wild Card game has been moved from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA to State Farm Stadium, the home of the Arizona Cardinals, the NFL announced today,” the statement read, in part.

“The decision was made in consultation with public officials, the participating clubs and the NFLPA.”

The final game of the Wild Card round will be played at 8 pm EST. The game will be played on ESPN.

Whoever wins this game, they will most likely play the top seed Detroit Lions barring a surprising win by a lower seed.

“Every time we suit up, we’re the Los Angeles Rams,” Matthew Stafford said. “We play for the people in this community, the people that support us, and this week will be another example of that.”

The Vikings bring a 14-3 mark into the Wild Card game. They were defeated on Sunday Night Football in the regular season finale by the Lions.

The loss sent the Vikings to a Wild Card game.

The Rams — who were the NFC West Division Champs — received the home game as a result of the Division win. They bring a 10-7 mark into the playoff game.

These two teams played each other already this season. The Rams won 30-20 over the Vikings on October 24, 2024.
