The winningest Top Fuel Dragster driver Tony Schumacher will be sidelined at least initially to begin the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series. Right now, we do not know how long he’ll be sidelined.

On Thursday, it was revealed that Schumacher will not be apart of JCM Racing. At least right now.

The Maynard Racing team announced a full schedule for Alexis DeJoria. And Ida Zetterstrom will make an appearance during at least 10 events.

The team said that if they get additional funding, Zetterstrom may do additional races.

Right now, Schumacher does not have funding to compete.

“ Hey everyone,” Schumacher said in a Facebook post. “My phone is blowing up with questions and concerns about recent news being posted. I wish I could answer them but I can’t yet. Everything always works out in the end. If it hasn’t worked out, then it’s not the end. Stay tuned.

“I’m not done yet. I’m in perfect health. Not sick. Just working on sponsorship.”
