David Shaw is returning to coaching. This is his first coaching job since the 2022 season before he stepped down from the Stanford Cardinal head coaching job.
He was hired by the Detroit Lions on Thursday as their passing game coordinator position. Shaw will coach NFL players for the first time in two decades.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero is reporting that Shaw has agreed to a multi-year agreement with the Lions. He is reunited with new Lions offensive coordinator John Morton, as the two previously coached together.
