With the win, the Union is 2-0 under first-year head coach Bradley Carnell. This was the Union’s third win out of the last 10 meetings against FC Cincinnati.

They are now 3-1-6.

The Union have scored eight goals in their first two games. Five of the eight goals have been scored by Tai Baribo.

He had a hat trick on Saturday. In the Union’s 4-2 win over Orlando City SC, Baribo scored in the 23rd and the 64th minute on February 22nd.

In the home opener, Baribo scored in the sixth minute. He also scored in the 30th minute.

This goal was initially called offside. However, Daniel Gazdag waved to the official who called the offside and gestured by waving no.

It later went under review and it was then credited with a goal.

Then after halftime, he scored a hat trick in the 52nd minute. He could have had a fourth goal; however, it was called back.

FC Cincinnati scored in the 58th minute when Evander Ferreira scored to make it 3-1. Newly acquired Bruno Damiani scored his first Union goal when he scored a goal in the 90+3 mark.
