The Milwaukee Bucks are in trouble in their series with the Indiana Pacers. On Monday, the team got devastating news.
Star guard Damian Lillard has suffered an Achilles tendon injury. He will miss the rest of the season.

With the Achilles injury in April, the 34-year-old Lillard may have to miss the bulk of the 2025-26 season.

Lillard was injured after missing nearly a month for a blood clot issue.
Dame Time is in his second season with the Bucks after a blockbuster deal happened before the 2023-24 season. Lillard landed in Milwaukee following a three-team deal on September 27th, 2023, that also featured the Portland Trail Blazers and the Phoenix Suns.
According to Spotrac, Lillard is not expected to be a free agent until the 2027 season. He is expected to have an estimated salary of $54.126 million during the 2025-26 season.
If he’s still playing at age 36, he is slated to have a $58.4 million salary during the 2026-27 season.
He played just six minutes in the 129-103 loss to the Pacers on April 27th.
This season, Lillard appeared in 58 games. He made 58 starts.
He averaged 24.9 points per game. Lillard also averaged 4.3 rebounds, 6.7 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.3 blocks per game.

This is going to be a critical off-season for the Bucks. The face of the franchise, Giannis Antetokounmpo, may be moved in the off-season.
In the Bucks’ last nine playoff games with the Greek Freak, the team is just 1-8. A rebuild may be coming – and that may lead to Lillard being moved, too.
