AAA Insurance sponsored driver Joey Logano has won for the first time in 2025. He won the Wurth 400 presented by Liqi Moly on Sunday at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas.
He won the race in overtime. Logano has 37 career NASCAR Cup Series wins, including two at Texas Motor Speedway.

“The sport changes so quickly,” Logano said post-race. “It’s crazy how you can just ride these roller coasters and just proud of the team. Finally get AAA Insurance into victory lane. They’ve been a partner of mine since I’ve been to Penske, so 13, 14 years. I’ve yet to win with them. It was awesome to get that done here.

“The JL Kids Crew is here. We’ll have fun with them on Victory Lane. A lot of people here. My family, they’re at home. Hey, Brittany, the kids, love you guys. It’s going to be a fun night.”
Logano drove the Shell/Pennzoil/Hertz entry to the 2014 win in the Duck Commander 500 at Texas Motor Speedway on April 7th, 2014. At the time, this 2014 win was Logano’s fourth Cup Series win.
This was Logano’s first win with the AAA Insurance sponsorship. The bulk of his wins came with Shell/Pennzoil. He also won with Home Depot (his first two Cup Series wins in 2009 and 2012), and AutoTrader.
Logano had to work his way up from a tough pit situation to get the win.
“Slowly, methodically, a couple at a time,” he said. “We had a tough pit stall situation. The pit crew did a good job of managing that and just grabbed a couple here and there. The car was fast. I knew that yesterday. We just did a poor job qualifying. Just grinded it. Just keep grinding a couple here and a couple there and eventually get a win here. It’s nice to get one. Real nice.”
Tootsies Orchid Lounge sponsored driver Ross Chastain finished second. Menards Knauf sponsored driver Ryan Blaney finished third.
“That’s a working-class day,” Chastain said. “That’s enough reason to go to Tootsie’s next time I’m in Nashville [Tennessee]. I want to head straight there. Gosh, that’s a working day. Just no confidence in the car yesterday. Y’all saw that. Just the speed of the Trackhouse cars on Saturdays is just terrible. We’re just not confident, all three drivers. So there was one pit stop today that Phil Surgen and the group — it takes a ton of people back at Trackhouse and on the box here in GM at Chevrolet. They made me a confident driver all of a sudden with one adjustment. It was [the] small stuff. It doesn’t even make sense, but after that, I was a confident driver. We still had a jacked brake, so hats off to Shane to quickly recover and get that other jack out there.
“I can’t drive an uncomfortable car. I can’t personally. So as soon as they got it comfortable or at least gave me some confidence, we started going forward.”
Logano led just seven laps in the race. Blaney also led two laps.
Valvoline-sponsored driver Kyle Larson led 90 laps before falling back in the pack late in the race. Dollar Tree-sponsored driver John Hunter Nemechek led one lap.
Love’s Travel Stops sponsored driver Todd Gilliland led four laps. Raptor-sponsored driver William Byron led 22 laps.
Jordan Brand-sponsored driver Tyler Reddick led one lap. Chili’s Ride the ‘Dente sponsored driver Carson Hocevar led 22 laps. Discount Tire-sponsored driver Austin Cindric led 60 laps.
Delaware Life sponsored driver Michael McDowell led 19 laps. Wurth sponsored driver Josh Berry led 41 laps. Ally sponsored driver Alex Bowman led one lap.
