Floyd Mayweather is arguably the greatest boxer of all-time. But when he is not fighting in the ring, he likes to watch other combat sports. On Saturday, “Money” Mayweather was in Toyko, Japan.
Mayweather attended Glory 13 at Ariake Coliseum with Glory Founder Pierre Andurand. Glory is an international kickboxing promotion that was founded in 2012.
This is the second Glory event that Mayweather attended in recent weeks. He was also at Glory 12 in New York on November 23rd at Madison Square Garden.
“It’s a contact sport,” said Mayweather, when asked why he was at the event. “I’m pleased with a contact sport. Plus, it’s exciting.”
After the holidays, Mayweather will have to get back to training for his next fight. In September, he last fought, as he faced Canelo Alvarez and easily defeated him.
But Mayweather is expected to return to the ring in May 2014. While no official date and opponent has been set, it is likely going to be against either Amir Khan or Marcos Maidana.
