Broncos’ Manning interviewed on CBS Sports about his season

The Denver Broncos are on their bye week. While the team doesn’t officially have to do team activities for a few more days, Peyton Manning decided to see his alma mater.

Manning, who is a graduate of the Tennessee Volunteers, took in the Vols vs. Alabama Crimson Tide game on CBS from Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Manning has the Broncos undefeated. However, his play is declining for the 39-year-old.

His quarterback rating is 72.5, which is second-lowest among qualified passers. That same rating was what Tim Tebow had with the Broncos in 2011 when he was the team’s starter before he was traded away when the team brought in the future Hall of Famer.

Only Houston Texans quarterback Ryan Mallett has a worse mark, as he has a 63.6.

Through six games, Manning is 146 of 237 for 1,524 yards. He had only one 300-yard game and has thrown seven touchdowns to 10 interceptions.

The Broncos are currently 6-0 on the season. They headed into their bye week with a 26-23 win over the Cleveland Browns.

The team has also defeated the Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, and the Oakland Raiders this season. Four of their wins have come on the road.

Denver were road warriors against the Chiefs, Lions, Raiders, and Browns.

Following the bye week, the team has a home game against the Green Bay Packers.
