Simulation: Panthers escape Seahawks in 2016 playoffs

The Carolina Panthers have only lost once this season. The loss came to the Atlanta Falcons at the Georgia Dome. 

The team has been undefeated at the Bank of America Stadium. The Seattle Seahawks will challenge the team in the playoffs.

However, according to our whatifsports.com simulation, the Panthers will advance with a win. The simulation has the Panthers winning 27-3 over the Seahawks. 

The simulation has named Cam Newton as the player of the game. 

The Panthers dominated the contest. After falling behind 3-0 in the first quarter, the Panthers scored 27 straight points. 

Carolina scored 20 points in the second half. They scored a touchdown in the second quarter. 

Newton went 18 of 24 for 218 yards. He had two touchdown passes. 

Fozzy Whittaker had four carries for 48 yards. Ted Ginn Jr. had three receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown. 

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson went 6 of 13 for 86 yards. He also threw an interception. 

Marshawn Lynch had 11 carries for 56 yards. Jimmy Graham had three receptions for 43 yards. 

Newton scored on an eight-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter. Newton also connected with Ted Ginn Jr. on a 29-yard touchdown reception. 

Graham Gano made two field goals in the fourth quarter. He made a 49-yard field goal and then made a 43-yard field goal. 

Newton hit Greg Olsen for a one-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter. 

The Seahawks’ lone points came at 5:50 in the first quarter. That’s when Steven Hauschka made a 38-yard field goal.
