There was a starting line incident at the Nitro Champs in Sydney, Australia featuring the Jim Read Racing team. Five members of the team were injured.
Top Fuel Australia said in a Facebook post that IHRA Australia is investigating the incident.
“Given that, Top Fuel won’t make any further comment at this time except to say that our thoughts are with the team members involved and that they’re all in good hands. Please don’t use this post to speculate about what happened. Rather, let’s send love and care to JRR. Just like the Dragway crowd lighting their phones in this picture.”
