The Bulldogs fell to 7-2. Their four-game win streak was snapped with the loss.

This is damaging to the Bulldogs, as this will shake up the College Football Playoff rankings on Tuesday night. Georgia will definitely fall from their current ranking and may fall as far as towards the bottom of the Top 10.

One week ago, the Bulldogs struggled mightily against the Florida Gators in Jacksonville, Florida. After the Gators lost D.J. Lagway and other key players to injury, Georgia pulled away in the fourth quarter.

“It’s on to the next, I mean, welcome to the SEC, baby,” Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart said to his team after the loss. “I mean, I said when the season started that it was gonna be the toughest schedule we’ve ever had in the SEC with the addition of the Texas game on top of all the others we had to play.

“And it’s extremely tough, it’s difficult. I mean, the outlook of going to those four road games, the Kentucky (game), the Texas (game), the Alabama (game), and this one, we knew it was gonna be really tough.”

Smart is making no excuses for his team’s performance.

“And as you go through the season, you get injuries, I mean, they got injuries too, everybody’s got injuries. It just makes it tough, and it’s tough, but you know what? Our future’s in front of us, we got a big game next week.

“We gotta go out and we gotta find a way to execute at a higher level.”

Rebels quarterback Jaxson Dart went 13 of 22 for 199 yards. Hs had one touchdown pass and one interception.

Dart also had eight carries for 50 yards. Cayden Lee had four receptions for 81 yards.

Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck went 20 of 31 for 186 yards. He had one interception.

Nate Frazier had 12 carries for 47 yards and a touchdown. Dominic Lovett had four receptions for 41 yards.

The Rebels outscored the Bulldogs 12-3 in the second half. Dart hit Antwane Wells Jr. for a 10-yard touchdown reception.

Rebels kicker Caden Davis also made two field goals. He first made a 24-yard field goal.

Then, he made a 32-yard field goal.
