The Dallas Stars acquired Mikko Rantanen on Friday afternoon. He is considered one of the Top 10 players in the league.
Rantanen also received a full no-movement clause. He also received an eight-year extension that will average $12 million per season.

In exchange for Rantanen, the Carolina Hurricanes acquired Logan Stankoven. The team also received two first round draft picks.
Plus, they also received two third round draft picks in the deal.
Rantanen was acquired by the Hurricanes in January in a three-team deal. They attempted to re-sign Rantanen; however, the sides could not reach a long term agreement.
