Super Stock race car driver Andy Zeller had to be life-flighted to a nearby hospital from Central Missouri Speedway He was injured on Saturday night.
The accident halted racing for some time as medical personnel helped Zeller.

“Please hold Andy Zeller and the Andy Zeller family in close positive thoughts as he was involved in a serious crash at the track tonight and had to be life-flighted out,” Central Missouri Speedway said in a Facebook post. “He was responding to emergency responders and officials. Thank you to all the responders for your assistance in removing Mr. Zeller from his car. We have no further details on the severity of injuries at this time.”
According to a press release from the track, Zeller crashed that caused his car to leave the speedway. His Super Stock car rolled over several times before the car stopped on its side.
An update on his condition has been released. Rob Smith in a Facebook post in Central Missouri Racing Heroes claims that Zeller has a broken neck.
He is also paralyzed, according to the post.
This has been a devastating 24 hours for dirt track racers. On Sunday morning, it was revealed that the 20K Modified race car driver Kyle Inman has passed away.
No cause of death has been determined yet. He was 39.
