The Tennessee Titans used the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft on former Miami (Florida) Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward. He was the first selection of the 2025 NFL Draft from Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
The 2024 Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Year is the Titans second No. 1 overall pick. He joins Earl Campbell in 1978 as the Titans No. 1 overall picks.

Ward will compete with Will Levis to be the Titans franchise quarterback. Levis may be moved by the Titans brass to give Ward the starting nod during training camp and then going into the new season in September.

Ward is coming to the Titans, who has missed the playoffs for the last three seasons. The team has not had a winning record since 2021 when Ryan Tannehill lead the team to a 12-5 record under former head coach Mike Vrabel.
Levis — the former second round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft — has not panned out like the Titans had hoped or they would not have made this decision. The former Kentucky Wildcats quarterback went 2-10 as a starter in 12 games in 2024.
He went 190 of 301 for 2,091 passing yards. He had 13 touchdown passes and 12 interceptions.
