Memphis Grizzlies forward Matt Barnes had been suspended two games following an October incident. Barnes is no longer talking about what happened.

Barnes and New York Knicks head coach Derek Fisher got into an altercation at Barnes’ ex-wife’s house near Los Angeles. The two reportedly exchanged punches.

Fisher was reportedly seeing his ex-wife and Barnes’s kids texted him about Fisher being in the house. Then, he went nearly 90 miles to go there to see what was going on.

The National Basketball Association investigated the incident, which led to this suspension.

During an off day for the Knicks, Fisher was visiting Gloria Govan, Barnes’ estranged wife. Barnes’s children were also there when Fisher visited her.

Barnes reportedly received text messages from his children, which led to the active NBA player leaving the Grizzlies to go to Govan’s house.

He’ll lose nearly $64,000 because of the suspension. He’s averaging 8.5 points for the Grizzlies this season.

Barring an appeal, Barnes will miss the upcoming game with the Miami Heat in Memphis, Tennessee on December 29th, 2015. He will then miss the first game of their road game against the Utah Jazz on January 2nd, 2016.

In the Grizzlies’ last game, which was a win over the Los Angeles Lakers, he scored five points in a little more than 21 minutes.

At press time, the next game he is eligible to play if he serves the two-game suspension now is their road game against the Portland Trail Blazers. This game is scheduled for January 6th, 2016.
