With Julianna Peña and Kayla Harrison winning their bantamweight bouts on Saturday during the UFC 307 main card, the most logical choice would be to put these fighters in the ring together. Before their main card bouts, Peña and Harrison had been talking smack to each other during the UFC press conference before the pay-per-view.
Due to the fight cards for the rest of the year being planned already, it is likely that if this is made, it’ll happen in early 2025.
Harrison — a former two-time Olympic gold medalist — has yet to win gold in the UFC. However, with this matchup, she would have the opportunity to do so.

She is a previous two-time Professional Fighters League Women’s Lightweight Champion. She won the championships in 2019 and 2021.
Since joining the UFC, she is 2-0. She went through a former champion in Holly Holm in her UFC 300 debut.
The Ohio native defeated Holm in the second round with a rear-naked choke submission. Then, on Saturday, she defeated Brazilian Ketlen Vieira by unanimous decision.
Harrison has won three straight bouts since suffering her first loss in her career. She is 18-1, and the only loss happened at the hands of Larissa Pacheco by unanimous decision at the 2022 PFL Women’s Lightweight Tournament final on November 25th, 2022.
The two fighters are nearly identical in age and have close to the same amount of fights. Peña is 35, while Harrison is 34.
“The Venezuelan Vixen” picked up a win by split decision over Raquel Pennington on Saturday. It was her first fight in more than two years, as she previously fought at UFC 277 when she suffered a unanimous decision loss to Amanda Nunes, who is known as the greatest of all time in women’s MMA.

Peña has a 12-5 record in the UFC. She has three knockout wins. She also has five submissions and four decision wins.
Since these two fighters already do not like each other, this would be the perfect bout to make next for these two fighters.
